A robust scholarly ecosystem relies heavily on reciprocity. Researchers who have advanced their own work through constructive feedback are highly encouraged to give back by serving as peer reviewers. At PT Nusaxis Pustaka Mandiri, we view this as a vital professional duty that sustains the quality of our publications, such as Terra Alimentaria, Nusaxis Biosciences, and Koinos Social Sciences.

To facilitate this, prospective reviewers must ensure their profiles in our Open Journal Systems (OJS) platforms are comprehensive and precise. Providing an accurate institutional affiliation, verifiable contact details (such as an institutional email and ORCID iD), and specific research keywords allows our editorial team to accurately match incoming manuscripts with your exact domain of expertise.

Ethical Integrity and Conflicts of Interest

Transparency is a cornerstone of our publishing ethics. Upon receiving an invitation, you must immediately disclose any potential competing financial, professional, or personal interests.

As a strict rule, you must decline the invitation to review if you:

  • Are currently affiliated with the same institution as any of the manuscript's authors.
  • Have collaborated, co-authored, shared grant funding, or held a mentor/mentee relationship with any of the authors within the last three years.
  • Are currently drafting or submitting a manuscript on a highly similar topic, which could create a competitive bias.

Furthermore, it is a severe breach of academic ethics to accept a review assignment merely to read unpublished research with no intention of completing the evaluation. If you are ever uncertain whether a specific relationship or situation constitutes a conflict, please consult the Editor-in-Chief before accepting the manuscript.

Punctuality and Responsiveness

The momentum of scholarly publishing depends on timely communication. We respectfully request that invited reviewers respond to our invitations promptly—ideally within 3 to 5 days—even if the answer is no. A quick declination allows our editors to invite alternative experts without causing unnecessary delays for the authors.

If you choose to accept an assignment, please do so only if you are confident in your capacity to deliver a rigorous and constructive evaluation within the mutually agreed-upon timeframe. If unforeseen circumstances arise that threaten to delay your report, please notify the editorial office immediately so we can adjust our workflow and keep the submitting authors informed.
